Craft Marquee at the Portsmouth International Kite Festival...
For the 20th year running, the Portsmouth International Kite Festival takes place on Southsea Common and promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year this wonderful free event has a huge range of guests, including old favourites and new discoveries.
Kite flyers from around the world will be getting together for the weekend to create this spectacular experience. And on Monday, 27th August (Bank Holiday) there is "free-flying" and a dog show as well as our Crafts Marquee.
The International Kite Festival is one of the biggest and best of its kind in the world. There will be a wonderful display of beautiful and amazing kites and the festival is even playing host to a UK record attempt this year. The attempt will be to break the record for the most revolution kites, flying in a synchronised formation. 50 must be doing the choreographed routine at the same time! It promises to be a spectacular sight!
Alongside all this, you will find our very large Crafts Marquee. Come in and find a fantastic selection of handmade and fascinating products from Britain and around the world. Find a gift, or a bargain for yourself. With up to 60 exhibitors, this is a show within a show so don't miss it!
The Kite Festival is organised by Portsmouth City Council and The Kite Society of Great Britain and admission to the event and to our marquee is completely free.
N.B. Woodland Crafts are not the organisers of the Portsmouth International Kite Festival. We are grateful to the event organisers for welcoming our Crafts Marquee.
