South Downs Wood Fair...
held at the
Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire.
The Queen Elizabeth Country Park is in the heart of the new South Downs National Park. The newest of the fifteen national parks in Britain, The South Downs National Park covers a massive area of spectacular landscape between Eastbourne and Winchester. Our SOUTH DOWNS WOOD FAIR is set in the glorious parkland at the foot of Butser Hill. This wonderful venue is perfect for our Wood Fair and is an inspiring setting for a fantastic weekend.
One of the objects of the National Park is to preserve and enhance the cultural heritage of the area. Forest management, timber production and the use of wood in all it’s forms are integral parts of this heritage. With this in mind, Woodland Crafts are delighted to be able to stage the SOUTH DOWNS WOOD FAIR 2013 - a very exciting event for the whole family, set in the beautiful surroundings of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Our South Downs Wood Fair showcases all aspects of wood, it’s production and it’s uses. On show we have everything from large forestry machinery to small scale craftsmanship in wood. There is also a massive range of other crafts and exhibits on show. This may be a Wood Fair, but wood is by no means the only content! There’s plenty to interest the whole family..
With displays, demonstrations, music, entertainment, animals, speciality foods and refreshments, there’s a whole day of enjoyment for everyone.
New for 2013 at our Wood Fair will be our Food Hall. In a separate marquee to our Craft stalls, you will be able to purchase products like cheese, jams, preserves, breads, cakes, drinks, sweets, chocolates, nuts, pies, raw sausages and meats etc.
Visit the Crafts Marquee to find that special gift or perhaps a treat for yourself. Everything from jewellery to artwork and from furniture to pottery will be on offer. Bring the children to this event and let them enjoy the rides and entertainment too. It really is a great day out for the whole family!
The South Downs Wood Fair is held in association with the South Downs National Park and The Forestry Commission.
